We have so much to learn from the "older" generation. We have so much to learn from our parents. And Thanksgiving is the perfect holiday to sit down and have a conversation with your "elders" that are making the effort to travel across the nation, or from just around the corner, to join your family in the celebration of Thanksgiving, as well as Hanukkah, this year.
It is hard to get past the heartwrenching headlines and photographs to focus on life's ordinary and simple daily tasks such as laundry, cooking, cleaning and taking care of your children. Tragedies put lifes simple things forefront. I am grateful to have water coming out of the tap.Hurricane Sandy reeked havoc on homes, shorelines and unsuspecting infrastructure, with minimal, if any, loss of life. But the magnitude of the loss of lives in the Philippines is unfathomable.
Why is it that most people, when making a Bucket List of the things they wish to do, achieve, visit, explore, master, or dream about in their lifetimes, seem to wait until what seems to be the very last minute...as they approach the end of their chronological lives, rather than creating the Bucket List when younger and when there is a greater possibility of time to complete goals and check off those lists?

As far as I know there are no more baseball games scheduled for Friday night, November 1, 2013. I have something that I think you might find very interesting to watch on TV instead.
There will be a documentary series premiering on Showtime at 9PM ET titled Time of Death. It will be a documentary series which will track real people as they come face to face with their own mortality.
