LastingMatters Founder to Speak at New Hampshire Estate Planning Council September 9
Barbara Bates Sedoric, Founder and President of LastingMatters, will be presenting to the New Hampshire Estate Planning Council at the Puritan Center in Manchester, NH on September 9, 2015. The topic? "Planning for the Inevitable".
Barbara gained her comprehensive and sensitive understanding of the importance of life directives during her 7 year career as an Estates and Trusts Paralegal at the Boston law firm of Foley, Hoag & Eliot where she helped grieving family members compile information. Her mother’s sudden death was the inspiration behind LastingMatters. Barbara comes from three generations of wealth managers and her husband Thomas is Managing Director of The Sedoric Group.
Planning for life-changing events is difficult not just because we want to avoid broaching the topic at all costs; it is also daunting because the amount of vital information inside our heads on a day-to-day basis is rarely documented or properly communicated. Often, there is a frustrating scavenger hunt due to the lack of clear decisions made in advance and the problem with locating information and documents when it matters most.
This presentation is designed to help estate planners work with their clients and families to fill in the missing pieces and to develop a comprehensive plan...well before the inevitable happens.
