Overlooking the Obvious? It's Time to Include the Next Generation in Your Planning Process

July 22, 2015

If you think you have run out of things to talk about with your adult kids, how about a worthwhile chat about incapacity and death? That’s certainly going to get their attention and a photo worthy reaction…usually a wide-eyed look that says “it’s time to head for the hills”!

We need, however, to ensure that our next of kin are fully prepared and understand what we want should we become incapacitated or die.

Father's Day Wishes - Meaningful Gifts From Dad

June 16, 2015

Father’s Day is on Sunday June 21. Are you frantically searching for the perfect gift to give to your Dad this year to commemorate and celebrate what he means to you?

Hope is Not a Plan, But Planning Will Generate Hope

April 10, 2015

It’s here. Some call it the “silver tsunami” while others reference it as “the greying of America”. Nearly half of the “sandwich“ generation have a parent over age 65 and are raising young children or supporting grown children.

Alarmingly, thousands of critically important end-of-life and after death decisions are currently being made without the benefit of advanced planning. While “hope” is not a plan, planning realizes hope.

The 2015 spring issue of the on-line FrontBurnerMama Magazine, dedicated to helping moms find balance in their busy lives, has hit the internet - and the theme this spring is "Hope".

"One of the newest and simplest services is The LastingMatters Organizer, a planner aiming to be the hub of instruction for loved ones after death" writes Life Matters Media in a recent article about Barbara Bates Sedoric and her company LastingMatters.
